By downloading or using LittleWords, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Educational use - no medical advice
LittleWords is an organizational and educational companion for parents. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice or diagnoses. Outputs are based on information you enter. Seek qualified professional advice for clinical concerns.
2. Eligibility
You must be a parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver to enter information about a child, and you are responsible for the accuracy of that information. Children are not intended to create accounts.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license for lawful personal use. You may not reverse engineer (except where the law forbids that restriction), resell, scrape, or misuse the app.
4. Optional cloud backup
An account is optional. If you sign in for cloud backup, your snapshot is stored with our provider so you can restore on another device. Keep your sign-in secure. Deletion requests are described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Subscriptions (Apple / Google)
- Premium is an auto-renewable subscription via App Store / Google Play
- Monthly and yearly plans may be offered; store prices control what you are charged
- Payment is charged to your store account at purchase confirmation
- Renewal continues unless canceled at least 24 hours before period end (or as the store requires)
- Manage or cancel in Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings
- Restore purchases is available for the same store account
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We do not process Premium payments through third-party web checkouts inside the mobile apps.
6. Content and sources
Milestone language is adapted from publicly available CDC and ASHA guidance for parent education. We do not claim endorsement by those organizations unless separately stated. You grant us a limited license to process content you enter solely to provide the features you use.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not enter unauthorized information about a child
- Do not disrupt or misuse the service
- Do not present app outputs as professional clinical diagnoses
- Comply with applicable law
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR PREMIUM IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR USD $50, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED. Clinical decisions remain yours and your clinicians'.

11. Changes
We may update these Terms and will revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
